Tony winner Lillias White has set her final performance as Hermes in Broadway’s Hadestown.

White has extended her performance at the Walter Kerr Theatre for one final time until March 17, 2024. She is celebrated as the first woman to take on this role, following Tony winner André De Shields.

White s illustrious Broadway career includes appearances in Chicago, The Life, Fela!, Dreamgirls, Cats, Once on This Island, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

The current Hadestown cast includes Betty Who as Persephone, Jordan Fisher as Orpheus, Phillip Boykin as Hades, and Solea Pfeiffer as Eurydice. The Fates are portrayed by Belén Moyano, Kay Trinidad, and Brit West, with a chorus of Workers comprising Emily Afton, Malcolm Armwood, Chibueze Ihumoa, Alex Puette, and Grace Yoo.

Hadestown, a musical by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell, combines the myths of Orpheus and Eurydice with Hades and Persephone, showcasing the interplay between gods and mortals.

The show earned eight 2019 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Original Score, and awards for direction, lighting, scenic design, sound design, and orchestrations.
