Chicago

Chicago is set in the jazz-age city of Chicago in the 1920s and focuses on two rival vaudevillian murderesses locked up in Cook County Jail.

Synopsis

Nightclub star Velma Kelly and driven chorus girl Roxie Hart both vie for the attention of slick lawyer Billy Flynn, who turns trials into media circuses.

The musical satirizes corruption in the administration of criminal justice and the concept of the celebrity criminal.

Known for its vaudeville-style presentation and Kander and Ebb’s iconic score, Chicago is a sharp-edged satire featuring some of the most well-known songs in theatre history, including All That Jazz and Cell Block Tango.
